Agatha Christie, the 'Queen of Crime' was born in Torquay in 1890 and became world's best-known mystery writer and, apart from William Shakespeare, is the all-time best-selling author of any genre.  Her books have sold over two billion copies in the English language and another billion in over 103 foreign languages.

One doesn't recognize the really important moments in one's life until it's too late.

I like living. I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing.

The best time to plan a book is while you're doing the dishes.

Evil is not something superhuman, it's something less than human.
